- Non Sequitur Scene: The Very first thing you see in this film are cartoonishly rendered scorpions having a fight to the death ala Mortal Kombat.
- Special Effects Failure: The opening scene with the Scorpion fight mentioned above is pretty much the epitome of this trope CG wise. Or would be if The Asylum and Syfy haven't already beaten it to the punch. That said, this did have a budget.
