- Ensemble Darkhorse: Miho, at least in Japan.
- Fandom Rivalry: Seems to have a small one with Nichijou, especially since both shows are in the same timeslot. It helps that they are very similar to each other.
- Follow the Leader: Maybe it's just a genre thing but a lot of the Schoolgirl Series stereotypes are being employed shamelessly.
- Les Yay: Tooru has an obvious crush on Run. Nagi and Yuuko have moments of these too. In episode 2 the girls take baths together.
- Yutaka seems to have a bit of a flame for Tooru (much to Tooru's annoyance).
- And Miho is quite wild about Yutaka, although she seems to like Tooru as well.
- Kitou-sensei also seems to be suspiciously drawn toward Yuuko.
